ID Xpansion Clamp

Quality is built on a precision foundation

ID Xpansion clamps from Mitee-Bite grip a part by expanding inside of a bored hole, delivering secure internal clamping without obstructing the outer surfaces of the workpiece. This makes them ideal for 5-sided machining, especially for round or thin-walled parts where traditional vises or edge clamps may fail or be less ideal. Their compact, low-profile design fits easily into tight fixtures or pallets. Made from heat-treated steel, these clamps offer repeatable performance under high loads and are available in machinable or hardened versions.

Key Features
Full Perimeter Access Holds parts from the inside, leaving OD completely clear
Machining Flexibility Ideal for 5-axis or multi-face machining operations
Machinable Faces Some models can be turned to match the part ID
Strong Internal Grip Expanding screw drives wedge action for secure hold
Compact and Modular Integrated into tight or dense fixture layouts easily
