aptoCLAMP

Workholding for Heavy-duty Machining

Swiss Modular's aptoCLAMP is an ultra-heavy-duty workholding system built for machining large, extremely heavy workpieces. It delivers extremely high clamping foces and uses a unique anchored base rail design that holds big plates or bloks with rock solid stability. Despite its brute strength, aptoCLAMP retains modularity with its ability to be repositioned along the rail quickly.

Key Features
Powerful Clamping Exceptional clamping power with up to 7000 daN of force, capable of securing very large parts (several tons in weight) for heavy-duty milling and drilling
Unmatched Stability Unique dual-serration rail with an expanding wedge anchor system provides unmatched stability and rigidity under load, preventing slip even during aggressive cuts
Repeatable 2 mm indexing serrations on the base rail allow precise, repeatable positioning of modules, supporting accurate setups for big workpieces
Flexibility Modular clamping components can be added or removed as-needed; each module can double as a work stop, enabling high-density clamping on a single rail
Easy Adjustments Heavy-duty modules can be released and repositioned with ease by loosening two screws and sliding along the rail or lift out from above without removing other components or end-stops
Form-Fit Design No open t-slots keeps chips out and clean up simple
